    Brix

Brix presents the player with an array of square puzzle pieces that can be moved horizontally across the playing area. Each piece has a symbol, and when two or more of the same type touch, they vanish. The goal is to make all the pieces disappear within the time limit. As the player progress through the game’s 112 levels, Brix adds more challenging gameplay elements, including lasers, reversing gravity, teleporters, elevators, breakable barriers and acid.

Brix is a puzzle game for MS-DOS, developed by Michael Riedel (Radiesel) and produced and published by Epic MegaGames in 1992. It is a clone of Taito’s Puzznic, and thus bears strong graphical and some gameplay similarities to Flipull/Plotting, also produced by Taito. Play Brix online!

    Brix game description

In Brix, the player is presented with an array of pieces, which he can move horizontally, and when two or more of the same type touch, they disappear. The goal is to do that to every brick of the same geometrical shape painted on it, and fast, because time is running out quickly. When the player has an odd number of a particular piece, three of them must be removed by ensuring that they make simultaneous contact.

Unlike the “remake”, this version has 112 levels, no difficulty settings and features a level editor.
